St Dominic’s Choir
All year three to six students have the opportunity to have a place in the St Dominic’s Choir for Semester 1, 2019. The choir will be directed by Jon Bode from Extraordinary Kids in Balwyn (http://www.extraordinarykids.com.au/).
This inclusive ensemble assists students to develop and extend their singing and aural skills in an exciting and challenging environment.
The St Dominic’s Choir will enjoy a regular schedule of performances both within and outside the School community.
Aims
The aims of the choir are:

to enjoy singing works in a wide variety of musical styles
-
to develop correct vocal production and breathing techniques
-
to provide a variety of concert performance opportunities
-
growth of self-esteem, poise, time management skills, self-confidence and articulate speech and social interaction across year levels and
-
a sense of pride in representing St Dominic’s Primary through music.
Rehearsals
Mondays in the hall from 1.10pm to 1.50pm for Semester 1.
Choir attendance important to maintaining a cohesive performing group so we ask that students commit to attending all rehearsals where possible.
